"Government Trail; Transition of Colors” 60x48
“Capitol Creek Trail; Transition of colors” 60 x 48 acrylics on canvas.
Fall time in the mountains is almost a game of luck. You have to catch it as it flies away in front of you. One day everything is still greenish, and then next day everything can be gone. But the trickiest part is to catch that exact moment where colors are transitioning; exciting the season of summer and entering the season of autumn. You have to “kind of know” where to go and what trails and what mountains, to find the exquisite combination of golden greens and yellow hues. I know a spot, I won’t you tell you exactly where but I will tell you is on #capitolcreektrail , one of my favorite ones. Every year when I come here, it looks like this. Maybe sometimes more yellow or other times more orange. But I have always found the last vestiges of those golden green Aspen leafs. Now you go and catch it if you can!

"September in the mountains is a moth of variations, in colors I mean. In the beginning of the month you start seeing subtle changes, but everything looks like is still green. Somewhere in the middle of it you see golden greens, ochres and yellows. And towards the end of the month everything turns into this glorious fall madness of autumn colors. And here in the mountains of Aspen Colorado, the Aspen trees are the main protagonist. I tried to capture on this painting just that. What September looks like when you are hiking out there in the woods. This painting was originated from a photograph I took on Government Tail a couple of years back, and now I brought it back to life!"

" This trail is filled with memories for me, as it is one of my favorite ones in the valley and is just steps away from my front door. So many of the paintings you see here on my feed were created from photos I took while hiking/running/ mtbiking/snowshoeing on this trail. On this particular scene, I remember what captivated me the most was the color of the leaves on top and the browns at the bottom. Together with that
"cream white" hue on the bark of the Aspen trees, it created this enchanting atmosphere of warmth. I lied there on the ground for almost two hours, taking it all in. And that's art for me; a medium through which a moment can last forever through the stamps of my paintbrush .
Thank God for the gift of art!"
