A Glimpse into the Process:
Isabella's passion for the inspiring landscapes of Aspen flows through her onto any canvas she touches. She described the process of creating this large painting to be "intimidating" as this would be her LARGEST painting ever, however she overcame her fear just as one does as they set out to hike the Highlands Bowl...and look what beauty became of it!
Isabella paints from her personal studio in her backyard in Snowmass where she enjoys the sounds of nature such as the flowing waters from the creek and the songs of birds as they soar through the trees. With a painting this large, she had to hang each canvas on a separate wall--making the perfect alignment of this piece even more remarkable!

The scene depicted in this painting captures the final stretch as you climb towards the summit at the top of the Highlands Bowl; a visceral moment in every hiker's journey. Your heart is pumping with every step you take. The hike is just as rewarding as the descent.
