Early sunrise over Snowmass on a very cold morning. I remember how cold it was because I couldn’t stop taking pictures even though my fingers were frozen and I was only wearing a thin layer. It was after a snowstorm in late September. All the leaves were covered in snow and I think that was their last display of yellow.
I have a phrase that I say to myself all the time “there are things that are better without being painted”. But digging through my 2000 + pictures I run across this one and I almost felt obligated to paint it. I couldn’t not do it. So here it is.
