ISABELLA GARAFFA - her WINTER Collection 2022/23 Bgins... .

Isabella Garaffa was born in Asuncion, Paraguay,   She now lives and creates her artwork in Snowmass Village, where she has been residing for the last many years.  Her most treasured childhood memories are directly connected to her strong passion for the wilderness, which is translated throughout her artwork in very intense detail. Seeing Aspen trees for the first time at the age of twenty two, gave her a fresh approach to recreate them in her studio in later years.

WHITE AS SNOW"

On that tree it happened. What the flesh couldn’t reconcile with the Spirit was put to death, it was being washed away by a salvation men couldn’t imagine of having. A salvation that was, that is and that will forever be. As light that travels through time and becomes timeless so this salvation never stops to be. Is a mystery. But is one that desires to be found. Who could fathom that weakness so fragile and deep and painful that no man has ever experienced would become the very same power that holds the universe at his feet? Flesh and blood so pure and whole that no human being could ever deserve to have but yet is the one thing required to live again. And to remain. What is it about this salvation that offends so many but yet it never imposes his gift? Is there to be found by all, but only so few want of its treasure. Life eternal is the one thing we all desire but not too many are willing to find it. What is it about this salvation that restores in me something I didn’t know was lost before, but I can’t ever live without it? Is like honey on the lips of an infant, like a well of fresh water found in a dry land. How is it so simple, but yet we can’t seem to see it? We are chosen from the time of our birth but still the call is for all. Such mysteries are on this tree. The one thing that ends our lives becomes the one thing that starts us again. Oh death, where is your sting? But the most marvelous thing about this such profound salvation is this one thing that man will never be able to explain. The most outrageous scene of death where all the blood of the Savior was violently poured out becomes the most beautiful thing that covers our sins in white, like snow that shimmers in the ground. You don’t see the mud underneath, but only the pure white.."
