While MICHEL MIRABAL’s, one-of-a-kind use of texture (rice, barbed wire, keys, bullet casings) plays a major role in his work so does his choice of color.

Today we take a closer look at a piece from his collection - “Black and White” 48x36” - painted right here in Aspen using local elements that i’m sure you will notice, with-in this fantastic photo presentation. This stunning work is a part of MIRABAL’s black series, which was created in dedication to African American culture.
